I BESEECHED ISVARA… HE DIDN’T ASK ME…

Whenever I beseeched Isvara to take away my agonies, invariably He responded, “No. It is not for me to take away but for you to give it up.”

Whenever I beseeched Isvara to improve my physically disabled child whole, invariably He responded, “No. His Atma is whole, his body is only transient.”

Whenever I beseeched Isvara to grant me patience and fortitude, invariably He responded, “No. Patience, fortitude are boons of trials and tribulations in life; those are never granted, always earned.”

Whenever I beseeched Isvara to bless me the boon of bliss, invariably He responded, “No. I bless you while bliss is upto you to engender for yourself.”

Whenever I beseeched Isvara to spare me from sufferings of life, invariably He responded, “No. Suffering drifts you away from temporal entanglements and brings you closer to Me.”

Whenever I beseeched Isvara to advance me in Adhyatma, invariably He responded, “No. You must advance on your own, but I shall prune you to make you better accomplished.”

Whenever I beseeched Isvara for all things that I might need in life to enjoy, invariably He responded, “No. I shall bless you life so that you may enjoy all things.”

When I beseeched Isvara to help me love others as much as He loves me, Ishvara responded instantly, “Ahhh..finally ! You grabbed the divine idea.”

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me what kind of car I drove, invariably He asked me how many people I drove in my car who didn’t have means to move.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me, how many square footage were there in my house, invariably He asked me how many people I welcomed into my home that day.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me what my maximum income was, invariably He asked me whether I compromised my character and integrity to acquire that.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me what job-designation I was holding, invariably He asked me if I performed my job to the best my abilities.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me how many friends I have, invariably He asked me how many people I were a friend to.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me what neighbourhood I dwelt in, invariably He asked me, how well I treated my neighbours.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me why it took me so long to seek Moksa, invariably He assured me to take me to the mansion in Heaven with love and not to the gates of Hell.

Whenever I implored Isvara to ask me how I forwarded this to others, invariably He asked me if at all I were ashamed to pass it on to my friends and acquaintances.

That must constitute very basic foundation of our interactions with Isvara.
