We had started with highly accomplished / highly divinised Rsi-s and Mahsrsi-s like Vishvamitra / Vasishtha / Kanada / Matanga / Vyasa / Dadhichi / Dronacharya…
Then came the era of Adi Shankaracharya / Swami Ramakrishna Paramhamsa / Swami Muktananda Paramhamsa / Deoraha Baba / Yogananda Paramhamsa / Lahari Mahashaya… all Param-Siddha Yogis whose every Darshana was a tremendous blessing.
Then came the era of Sri Sri / Morari Bapu / Swami Avdheshananda / Swami Ramdeva / Mata Amritanandamayi…some of them have done very well but NONE of them appear to be Siddha Yogis.
And concurrently came dubious ones like Rampal / Ram Rahim and several other criminal-preachers.
At this pace of decline, are we now poised to worship Shahbuddins / Daud Ibrahims… et. el. ? It is an extremely unfortunate decline of our polity.
If you do not find right Adhyatmika mentor as Guru is almost impossible to get these days (Guru has to be a Siddha Yogi), best way is to pursue Svadhyaya i.e. self-study of scriptures / holy books viz. Bhagvadgita / Upanishads / Puranas / Smritis etc. They are so rich and lucid in content that there shall be no need to fool around after these ‘Dhongi’ Babas once you are addicted to these books. Under prevailing circumstances, scriptures are best Guru-s and example of Sikhism is already before you wherein they have accepted Guru Granth Sahib as their Guru. You may very well boycott all these Babas and fake Devadoots.
It is better to donate your precious money to PM’s National Relief Fund / Sewa Bharati etc. instead of donating to these Thug-Babas.
