Indian Recipe : Suji Ki Kachori

Semolina dough balls stuffed with spicy potato mixture and deep fried.


Semolina /Suji – 1 cup
Water – 1 cup
Boiled potatoes 2-3
Green chilli – 1
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Ajwain or carom seeds – 1/2 tsp
Chat masala – 1/2 tsp
Jeera – 1/4 tsp
Oil to fry + Oil 1 tsp
Coriander finely chopped
Salt to taste

First of all mix water in suji along with salt, oil, ajwain and make a soft dough.

Now take boiled potatoes and mash them well.

Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add cummin seeds and let it splutter. Now add green chillies, potatoes, add the chilli powder, chat masala and coriander.

Remove this mixture in a plate and let it cool.

Take a lemon sized portion of dough, fill potato mix and cover well with the suji.

In a similar way do it with the rest of suji and potato mix.

Now deep fry these on medium flame till golden brown. Serve with mint chutney or sauce.
